Plan your visit to The Edge Church

Bring a bible
if you have one

Bring a family member
if you have one

Bring a friend
if you have one

Bring your stuff

By stuff, we mean your issues, strengths, shortcomings, joys, regrets, hopes and everything else inside you. We know you have some of that stuff, and the Lord already knows what it all is. He sent Jesus who designed the Church for you and all your stuff. There are no pre-qualifications that have not already been fulfilled by Christ. So bring all of you. We’re ready, and we can’t wait!

step one: Preparing

What to bring with you

first, check our schedule

We meet as a Large Church on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and we meet in house churches on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.

Look for the flags

When you see our “The Edge Church” flags you can bet you found the right church and the right entrance. If the sign outside looks more like an “M”, has, a drive through window and smells like burgers, keep going. That’s not us.

step two: arriving

We meet at Jewel Middle School

Next, get directions

Say “hello” to our friendly welcome team

Right when you walk in, you’ll see our welcome team. These are the nicest people at our church. That’s why we asked them to welcome you! If you’re a grump and you like grumps, we have those too and we love them just the same. They’re just a bit further in.

Register your kids 5th grade or under

Just beyond the welcome table, you’ll see registration signs for Edge Kids. There, you’ll find some of our Edge Kids leaders, who will be thrilled to meet you and your kids. They’ll make sure your kid(s) get checked in and they’ll cover everything you need to know on your first visit.

Then, make your way to the cafe

Our cafe is at the entrance to our main meeting space, where our volunteers bring everything from bagels to breakfast bakes. You and your whole family can come, grab some food, and find a seat.

step three: Entering

Where to go on your first visit

our service will start with Worship as a whole family

Our large gatherings start all together with adults and kids of all ages as a whole family. This time is intended to center our hearts on the Lord and who He is as we prepare ourselves to hear His word. We want kids to learn from grownups what it means to come before the Lord in worship as a family. And we want grownups to learn from kids what it means to make a joyful noise to the Lord.

sending kids to learn with their peers

To create the space most conducive to each age’s learning styles, we send our kids to their respective classrooms next. Instructions are given for each group as they follow their leader to their respective classrooms. Our signs mark each of the Edge Kids classrooms used.

Teaching enabled by the holy spirit

16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All scripture, not some, is from God, and is beneficial. So as we walk through scripture expect the teaching to dig into the harder verses. It’s there that the Holy Spirit meets us and enables us to understand new spiritual truths. It’s there that we’re changed, and only by God’s grace through Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. This power of the Holy Spirit should be expected in our main gathering just as much as it is in each classroom.

step four: start of service

Worship and teaching

step FIVE: Connect

Connect with the teaching, connect with the community

respond with prayer

When the service ends, your response starts. The Lord never fails to speak through His word, so our prayer team will be waiting to meet with you. Look for the prayer banner and you’ll find members of our community ready to contend for you in prayer and process anything the Lord wants to do. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with what the Lord who knows everything (and loves you more than anyone) wants to do.

Respond with connection

Whatever you do, don’t just duck out of church. Our community does not meet to put on an event and go home. We meet in obedience to what God asks, and we are committed to living out our discipleship, following Jesus in every aspect of life. Visit our connect table or talk with any of our members to find a house church to connect with.
