At The Edge, we believe that followers of Jesus are loving as well as generous. We believe that being generous is about more than just money, that it includes our time, talents and treasure. Our mission to live for Jesus and love like He does compels us as His people to love and serve the world around us. Just as Jesus Himself came “not to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mat 20:28) so we have been called to do the same. Though we are not saved by our good works, we know that we have been saved to do good works. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 to “let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven”. Our mission as a community is to live out this command, preaching the truth of Jesus Christ with not just our words, but our actions as we love and serve those in our neighborhoods, our city and our world, looking upon each person as an image-bearer of God.
